How does increasing resolution affect performance?

I'm going to change my old monitor Acer AL1716, 4:3 with a resolution of 1280x1024 to Acer KB242HYLbix, 16:9, Full HD 1920x1080. Video card GTX 550 TI. Looked infu on the internet, everyone writes differently. Someone says that performance will be 30% less, someone says that there is practically no difference.

Yes, everything will be fine and nothing will change, except that you will get a larger work area.
fhd has been quietly pulling any cards over the past ten or fifteen years for a long time.

For games, it has a bad effect, in games the FPS will drop by a quarter or so.
And for office work, a larger resolution is better, more pleasing to the eyes.

Well, the video card will be loaded more yes.
550ti seems to be even weaker than gt 1030, so I would consider an upgrade (but now you can’t buy anything better than 1030 for adequate money)
