How does Google draw roads on the map?

They quite accurately draw even hypothetical routes, for example, paths trodden by people between houses, across a field, etc.

Machine learning is understandable. It is interesting to learn and read those chat, maybe there are articles about generating routes on the map.

Why are neurons there? Enough of the usual statistic.

Even with curves you shouldn't bother. Enough to approximate with pieces of straight lines.
The main thing is that there are enough gps tracks.
