Geolocation

How does geolocation work in maps in the desktop browser?

Mapping services from Google, Yandex, 2GIS, Openstreetmap determine my location with an accuracy of no more than 100 meters and put a point in almost one place. Provided that I allowed in the browser.
It is not mobile devices with geolocation permission that are of interest, but computers that use a wired provider.
What information do they use, where do they get the data, and how do they compare?
All services known to me that determine the location by IP - determine the city and simply put a dot in the center or in the default place, but they do not determine it in the same way as the above mapping services.

if there is wi-fi in the apartment - Google knows your exact location from devices with GPS / A-GPS, not even necessarily your devices

For example, even before the advent of geolocation in Windows, I told Google where I live. I work with their services using my account.
