How does an Express/Pug application appear to search engines?

If everything is clear with the front on JS frameworks (React, View), then what about a regular application on Express / Pug?
Do I understand correctly, even though static is not rendered on the server, if the client (search engine) requests the Express / Pug application page on the server, then in response it receives already rendered HTML? That is, no problems with optimization?
