How do you work?
Hello.
Question for programmers who work from home. The question may seem strange, but I would like to hear how other people do it :)
How many hours a day do you spend programming in the "flow" when you are not distracted by anything else?
How do you deal with distractions such as instant messengers or mail, which can drag on for an hour at a time when you were doing something important. Disable or not?
How do you organize your day? Do you use different practices like Pomodoro or not?
Thanks in advance :)

I try not to work "in the flow". I generally work at work, but sometimes I work from home. So, at home I get tired much more than at work. Because at work there are other people who are distracted anyway (they knock on the keys, bastards). And at home you turn on the music louder, wrap yourself in a blanket, pour some coffee ... And then it turns out that lunch was an hour ago and in general ... And if you enter the stream, you can accidentally work until night ... I don’t like it so much, I don't want to be a slave to my job.
I don’t turn off anything, I even watch cartoons sometimes so that the brain can process the information calmly. But, it’s better not to be distracted by unimportant calls and letters so that you don’t get too distracted from your thoughts.
I just force myself. Of course, I don't work as a programmer, but I work from home. At first, there was the same problem (seagulls, a new series of the series, a book). But then I read several books on how not to waste my time, found programs for planning my time, and after half a year I already work systematically. I know when and for what task how much time to allocate.
