How do you motivate yourself while working from home or on a freelance schedule?

Everyone knows that when you work from home / on a free schedule / for yourself, you really want to sleep longer, postpone work for later, not do what you don’t want, etc.
Q: How do you motivate yourself while doing this? Moreover, it is precisely the constant motivation to work from month to month that is of interest, and not a one-time motivation to take something and do it
Thank you

I live in a one-room apartment with my wife, I have enough money. I want to live differently -> the motivation is very strong.

I drink coffee, I take a shower, I use a miniplane, I keep a to-do list in a Google task, I read mail, I put on work clothes, I sit in a very bright room

And somehow I got used to it. Alarm clock in the morning at the same time. Work plan for the day/week. Reporting.
I have been working from home for three years.

The sports mode removes such problems - it worked well with the body, I want to work well with the brain

working both at home and at work, you need to make a plan for your own load in redmine or timer (or whatever you like) and try to stick to it
. drawing up a plan, evaluating your own performance are integral parts of project management (including your own time)

I just work when I want to. If you don’t want to work, maybe this is just not the right place?

I motivate myself by the fact that while sitting in complete silence, I begin to think about the results of the work and what they will lead to. Or I just dream about the future development of my activity. For example, you can dream about when you finish work and you will have money, where you can invest it and how to use it wisely and ultimately enjoy it.

Constant motivation is a fiction. There will always be ups and downs. I try to adjust to my mood. Sometimes you can be too lazy and you don’t have to reproach yourself for it in some way.

My wife and I work for ourselves, each other and motivate each other around the clock ;-)
When I stay alone, I rarely work, more often through all sorts of contacts, etc. dregs get into my head.

1. I do the work that I like.
2. Money.
3. I divide the task into parts that can be completed in two or three days without haste. And I complete each part on time. If you really don’t feel like working, you can postpone it until tomorrow, the main thing is not to do this every day.
4. I choose a convenient daily routine. For example, it is convenient for me to wake up at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, rest during the day, and work at night.
5. Customers push me, they are interested in progress almost every day. It's valuable.

When the deadlines for completing the work are short, you just do the work and do not get distracted by extraneous things until the next five-minute break.
And on the long-term, I motivated myself by the fact that everything would have to be done, sooner or later. And it’s better early, so that later you have more free time for yourself and others. Although there were such cases when I finished long-term in the last two days.

laziness is the engine of progress ...
somehow, having signed a part-time job with a fool in an office, I had to urgently streamline all processes ...
since then it has been a constantly progressive process - you free up time for yourself and find some other activities ...
good for the salesman, this is it ...

Laziness is a lack of motivation and a sign of depression.
Do what you like, and motivation can be either a direct result of work (money) or indirect (satisfaction with your work, recognition of others, etc.).

If I didn’t crawl to the office and decided to work at home, then I do all sorts of garbage until I get bored and there is a desire to work :) In general, I am well motivated by an interesting task and wildly cut down from the routine. As soon as all the fun ends, you either need to attract a “kicker” with a whip, or wait for a deadline, deadlines are also not weakly motivating being a surrogate whip. Something like this.

Usually motivated by the desire not to lose face and to complete the project within the promised time frame. If the project is interesting, then even motivation is not needed.
It happened that games were saved from boring projects. "I'll make this piece and play."
But sometimes you can’t overpower yourself, so the work was postponed for the night. Then the motivation was a dream - to do everything and go to bed.
But you still need good self-control.
Now I work in an office. And by the way, I feel like I'm doing less work. At home, it was possible to do housework in moments of lack of tasks =)

In the evening I ask myself the question: what will I do tomorrow in order to get at least one step closer to the goal ... or better, two

S

@superfamous

Do _only_ what you really like. It is advisable to do two things at the same time (for me, this is design + project management) + not get hung up, but constantly develop in related areas.
It is very motivating to work (sometimes even too much).
