How do you know which cooler is right for you?

There is a motherboard with a 775 socket, in a microBTX case, there is a core duo processor, I want to replace it with a quad from Ali, but my cooling is not enough, how can I choose a cooler so that it fits and the processor does not burn ..
There is some kind of radiator blowing a cooler on it which stands on the case, and so that the flow is on the radiator, there is a plastic one, I don’t know what it’s called, a thing ..

@Samorojy

You should look at the heat dissipation of the processor and further select it according to the size criteria so that it fits into the case, as well as its composition, preferably with copper tubes, because the heat transfer will be higher
