How do online sms receiving sites work?

Actually, the point is: a couple of times I used sites for renting numbers for receiving sms / sites with public numbers. Interested in the technical part of the question. On one site, for example, there are about 30 Russian numbers, but you can’t buy 30 3g modems or phones, right?

Either "buy 30 3g modems or phones" and somehow automate the processing, or enter into an agreement with the operator (or with an organization that already has such an agreement) and process the data provided.

An agreement is concluded with a provider such as mts connected or ifree and the settings for the gateway are obtained, the server is configured for sending with these settings (for example, kannel) and web requests for sending SMS are sent to it. Or an agreement is concluded with services for sending SMS and everything is also only without a separate server (it will be at the service).

Our company (Billingrad) should have such a function in the next month. It will be simple there - a number is registered, then, for sms, you can use it as a regular federal number, via sdk.
