How do I properly maintain my MacBook pro Retina display battery?
I recently got a MacBook and in connection with this I had questions. I've looked at a lot of forums, read tips on Apple.com, and I still can't figure out how to properly use the battery? On numerous forums they say that it is better not to unplug the computer at all (if the computer is used at home), and the guide on Apple.com says the opposite. I would like to hear the advice of the owners of MacBooks. Thanks for the help!

Whenever possible, it is necessary to be on charge. Calibration is also not needed, this is even written in the manual.
Why do you think the battery does not store data on charging time, but stores the number of cycles, and the guarantee for the number of charge cycles. Do you really think that engineers have not figured out how to disconnect a charged battery from the circuit and it is used all the time?
We bought a MacBook with a friend with a difference of 2 months (he is later), every time he wore it to work without charging, I worked at home, read constantly on charging. in a year I have 70 cycles, it has ~ 250 and discharges noticeably faster.
For the sake of calming your paranoia, you can completely discharge and charge once a month. On the other hand, if your laptop has been charging for more than a month, then why did you buy a laptop?
Z.s. I have a friend who buys every new iPhone, calls for the first couple of weeks and asks if I have 23% charge here, put it on charge or wait until it runs out?
When I was in the service, they said that if it is constantly charging, then it is necessary to let the battery work at least once a month.
I use a Mac just like plasticmirror . Seems to be all right for now. Already like 2 years.
Usually served in macmachine.ru . I also asked a lot of questions when replacing the battery :-) They said that
no need to worry, because all batteries are modern lithium and they rarely last more than 1000 cycles. Or 3-5 years regardless of cycles. Akb is a consumable. You can always replace. Technology is for man, not man for technology!
