How do I know which page I'm on if there's no change in the address bar?

Hello.
Let's say there is a forum where each user can create a topic and edit it.
After creating a topic, it is assigned a number, and the link to the topic looks something like this: forum.domen/
theme2678 stands still forum.domen/theme2678, not forum.domen/theme2678edit, for example.
I'm wondering why this is happening and is there a way to link to the edit page in this scenario?

It doesn't go anywhere unless it's in the address bar.
This is a dynamic page change. There is no actual transition.
Depending on the wishes of the site developer - with such a dynamic change, the contents of the address bar may or may not change. But the line here is secondary.

It depends on the site settings, there is nothing you can do about it.
