How critical and how to reduce DiskIO in pfSense?
Proxmox has pfSense installed, through which the rest of the virtual machines pass traffic (5 CTs and 1 VM). At the same time, the response of the admin panel of pfSense itself and some virtual machines slow down. In general, the traffic is not high, but the Disk IO on Proxmox shows that pfSense is constantly writing data to disk (4-5 Gb). All this also affects the overall IO deley of the Proxmox server (at the level of 50-70%).
Is it normal for pfSense to constantly write this much data to disk, and how can I check and fix this behavior?

First you need to check the host machine for the speed of the disk system, and then look at the loads of one virtual machine per disk, only then see how much traffic comes from each machine and see what pf is logging
