How to install FreeBSD packages on pfSense?

pfSense version - 2.3.2
Question: if I install transmission or samba (for example) using this method ( https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Installing_FreeB... then when updating pfsense, there may be problems with dependencies from -for which pfSense will not be able to upgrade to, say, version 2.4?

Problems may or may not arise.
If everything went smoothly, then the pfsense developers would not create their own repository, so everything here is at your own peril and risk.
This is what it says in general:
pfSense 2.3 is based on pkg for the base system and pfSense packages, so the pkg repository from pfSense is used and the standard FreeBSD package repository is not available. Installing packages from FreeBSD is technically possible, but not recommended due to potential dependency problems . Passing the full URL to a package using pkg add will work, but care is needed to avoid future problems.
