How convenient is it to make edits in a template on a local server and upload it to the server?
Kind.
Let's say I made up the layout, pulled it up and uploaded it to FTP.
Then I needed to make edits , and how best and more convenient to make them, so that this layout would be preserved with me, otherwise I have one version on the site (the latest one) and on my computer the old one, even before stretching or already stretched but without the latest changes, because I usually "opened the file through FTP, changed what I needed and uploaded it." (in the case of Modx, I make changes through the admin panel, in the desired template, but I want to do it on my local and then quickly transfer the result)
So far, I see one option, something like: let’s install WP on my local server, upload the template there , make changes, and then upload to the real site?!
It’s true that Modx doesn’t seem to work, because there you need to make changes to the chunks, that is, manually create it in the right section, is it possible to drop the whole folder somehow right away? In order not to re-create chunks on the real server again through the admin panel, but just upload the folder and so that everything has already been created, something like this ... Tell me how you do it
