How can you prevent others from opening a text file when transferring the file to other computers?

Some data that is used in the project is stored in a text file, but now the task has arisen to transfer this text editor to other computers (Starting from Windows XP and ending with Windows 10), but I don’t want this file to be able to be opened, how can I do it?

You can restrict access to information in a file in the following ways:
You need a key to decrypt. The key can be hidden inside some file (together with other "garbage") or received via the Internet (and if it is not there?) - simple protection.
If the program process is launched under the current user, then the user will have the same read rights as the program.
And one more option: do not store sensitive data locally on the computer at all.

Sfx (or normal) archive with a password. Or a media with an ntfs partition and access restriction at the user level. The archive is better. Yes, and it's easier.

try to set these NTFS rights. This will hide the file in the folder.
