The question is not about ECC, but about how to physically hide the server from neutrons and other elementary particles that can cause spontaneous errors in RAM.

from the most energetic you can’t hide the earth through and through, they’ll sew through what your protection is for them,
and so a few meters of polyethylene or water
or corny dig deeper

Just like hiding a nuclear reactor on neutrons. It's absolutely the same.
Water, concrete, lead, and graphite rods.
