How can one automate a website via POST/GET using Python?

I started to study the Selenium library and realized that it did not quite suit me.
I want to automate sites using POST / GET requests in multi-threaded mode so that the computer does not load heavily.
Maybe Python is not particularly suitable for this and it is worth learning other PLs?
Or are there other solutions?
