How can I "wake up" a laptop with a remote control?
I have a Lenovo b550e laptop.
I decided to make a media player out of it. Installed ubuntu + xbmc. Connected to TV via hdmi.
I want it to always stand with the lid closed, and be controlled from the remote control.
What remote do you recommend?
I would like not to touch the laptop at all when turning it on and off, so that everything is done from the remote control.
You can turn it off, but how do you turn it on? If you turn it off in standby mode or sleep - is it possible to turn it on from the remote control and which remote control is suitable for this?
I would like the remote control not IR - but by radio signal to work.

Tell the bios to wake up on keypresses on the keyboard and use this - www.riitek.com/product.asp?bigclassid=24 or something like that
Only a tablet / phone with RDP configured comes to my mind. Set the BIOS so that the computer wakes up from a signal from the network card.
