Good afternoon. How can I take a snapshot of Windows Server 2008 to restore later? With Windows Server Backup, as far as I know, you need an external drive or a second partition, neither of which can be connected.

Do you want to take a picture that you have nowhere to take? Orrriginally! ..
Well, save it to some cloud, without storing a local copy. Ya.disk knows how, they even have a special version of the client, which stores everything only in the cloud.
Or use "shadow copies" (aka "previous versions"):
