How can I run a home web server?

I am currently renting a VPS server with 512 RAM for hosting a site on a node. And the idea crept in to raise a web server on some mini-PC or even an android smartphone and throw it on a closet so that it would work for itself and host my sites.
Question: is it reasonable in general? And if so, which mini-PC would you recommend? Malinka 4?

What for? A server with 512 oz costs 100 rubles. There will be more costs, buy a mini-pc or a smartphone

It depends on what kind of server ... if it is a WEB server or VPN - in any case, it needs a static IP, as soon as the main provider falls - all clients fall off, even through a mobile network ...
Well, maintenance, food costs and so on .. .as
my personal experience shows - it's easier to pay for a VPS than to keep something at home, at such a minimum cost

Hello. Depends on the sites you want to host on this web server. Ideally, start with Ryzen 3 2200G. But it can be a little faster. I made my personal web server on AMD FX-9830P (30 watts peak). It seems to be enough for now, although GTmetrix swears that the server is weak. No raspberries and other Atoms are good.
