Why is the resolution low when connecting a monitor via displayport?

Hello. Faced such a problem, I connect the monitor via HDMI cable, everything is fine - the resolution is 1920x1080, and when I connect the resolution 1680x1050 via Displayport and it does not change either through standard Windows tools or through the video card settings.
Tell me which way to look.
Video Card: Radeon RX 5500 XT

Alternatively, try a different cable.

If other permissions are not available, the problem is primarily in the driver. But we still did not wait for an answer to the question of what kind of monitor, the exact model. Ports that DP and HDMI give exactly the resolutions that the driver and monitor support. As soon as the monitor worked in 1080 via HDMI, then the question of non-support of 1080 hardware via DP disappears. Look towards the OS and drivers.
