How can I backup 1TB of data?

There is a photo hosting of pictures. About 1TB of data. How can I backup this data? How to work with such dimensions?

Just like a backup of other data is done.
The size here has little effect - at least 5 megabytes, at least 5 terabytes.
The only difference is the time it takes to backup and the size of the storage.
You can try to compress - the pictures themselves are practically not compressed by archivers, but you can try to archive with a deduplicator program like ZPAQ - often you can reduce the size by a couple of times.
What exactly is the problem?

  • Not enough space?
  • Is it difficult to transfer this amount of data over the network?
  • Not enough time allotted for backup?
