How can a web designer get rid of clumsiness in their work?

Did you have the feeling that your work was not brought to its logical end? There is no that very gloss, there is no that lightness and purity that catches when you look at the work of designers on bihanse and dribble.
How to come to this? Is it just a lot of practice? Not sure. I had and still have a lot of projects, apparently it's not just about practice.

1. Read theory.
2. Explore cool sites. Do not just admire someone else's portfolio, but study it "under the microscope". Your task is to understand why the site looks cool: elegant, because the fonts are beautifully chosen? Is the text easy to read because of neat typography and vertical rhythm? does the site look clean because all the elements are aligned to the grid? does the site feel light because white space is cleverly used? Try to answer such questions for yourself, based on the theory studied.
If you can't figure out how a designer made a cool website → read the theory.
If theory disagrees with practice, then you haven't fully learned the theory, or an exception has been triggered, or you're trying to apply the wrong theory, → keep learning the theory.
3. Analyze in more detail. Pay attention not only to what is visible, but also to what is not visible. Open someone else's design (screenshot) in a graphics editor and try to pick up the modular grid that the designer used. Measure the indents between the elements, look for a pattern. This way you will understand the theory better.
4. Exercise. Open someone else's design (screenshot) in a graphics editor and draw it as if it were a tracing paper. Try to capture the train of thought and the order of actions of that designer. Complicate and draw (repeat) the next design by eye, and then compare with a screenshot of the original design. Analyze the differences. So you fix the theory and fill your hand.
Act according to the algorithm "theory" → "search for other people's advantages" → "analysis of other people's advantages" → "own experiments" you will quickly improve the quality of your work, because you will develop consciously, and not randomly stumble upon good solutions.

Once again, read about the basics of composition, color selection, and visual noise. At the same time, do not forget that a web designer, as a rule, does not make a work of art, but a UI.

The point is the desire to experiment and bring improvements to the end. Like you did everything, look and think "let me round the corner here" and what will happen if I add / remove the strip here. Those. some meticulousness or something, idealism. Because when a person has done and he has 3 more projects in the queue, he is like "and so it will do")))

These hooks are always in the little things that designers don't focus on. Well, this is deeply my IMHO. The design is beautiful, but the font size is wrong or the font is wrong, or the icon is moved 40 pixels to the left. Just show more of your work and highlight the essence of commenting. In addition to vile or wowwow, you can collect in fact.
