How can a self-taught programmer get a paid job? Path options?

The question is not about what you need to learn to become a programmer.
For example, one of the answers. Start learning something on the right topic. Start sending resumes to 100,500 IT offices in your city, and some will call for an interview for a junior, and out of 50 interviews, one will be successful. But this option is not suitable. There are no IT offices in my city at all.
A dubious freelancing option in the direction of website layout, they usually dump it there - 100,500 responses per thousand rubles. And the backend requires a universal soldier!
Can you do something to get noticed? Let's say there is a github for the codepen.io frontend (tell me more similar services?!) . If you upgrade your profile there, can they really contact you somehow or can’t you wait?
And what are your options?

Become a pro, what's the problem? Everyone needs a professional.

Develop in the area where there are the fewest people (competitors). Look for remote work and not only in Russia.
Puff out your cheeks. Start small.

We need to gain authority. As an option, I suggest public placement of the code. Fakyu here:

I think first you need to make a good resume (video course https://courson.ru/ ) and of course I advise courses on achieving goals, I took them myself
