How bad is the .co domain?

I snatched out the .co domain, and I keep it in mind from the heels.
There was no experience with this domain.
It became interesting, what will it cost me in terms of SEO shmeo?
And what generally negatives can be expected from this choice?
Google treats these domains as common area domains, which is a plus.
Minus - the user will type .com instead of .co with pens with a probability of 99.999%, but who now prints domains manually?

Well, look, you can take the situation in a vacuum , where there are absolutely 2 identical sites in all respects that you can imagine, there is a possibility that .co will rank better for Colombia than com. As you understand, such a situation cannot actually exist.
I advise you to focus directly on the domain name under SEO .
Regarding manual entry - if you have a fairly simple and memorable name, then it will simply be entered into the search engine.

In terms of SEO, domains are not important for a long time. more precisely, the influence is so small that it can be neglected
here you are right, but this is a question for marketing. It is necessary to look at who is the target audience, what are the topics, what are the goals and objectives of the site. There are many cases where it is not necessary to enter a website address. For example, if the project is promoted only on the web and only with context and banners.

Search engines do not rank domains in any way, you can do anything.
You wrote everything correctly from the user if you type it manually, but again, manually typed it does not apply to SEO
