How are bank card payments made on the Internet (website)?

Good afternoon.
I am studying the issue of organizing the acceptance of payments by cards (visa, master) on my website.
Please tell me the materials (books / articles, etc.) on how card payments are made on websites
Interested in:
1. What happens at the moment when the client has entered all the information about the card on the website and clicked pay? (request sent to the bank's server? Is the bank sending a response? etc.)
2. Is the money immediately credited to my account or is the money only blocked on the client's account and after any confirmations is it sent to me?
3. How is the return of funds to the client implemented?
4. What are the commissions?
etc.
From the questions, you can understand that I have no knowledge in this area. And therefore, all materials are interesting, from the level of "beginner" and above.
Knowledge is needed to conduct a competent conversation with the bank and the developer, and understand the whole process of what happens with money on the way "customer card" -> "company account"
Thank you in advance

If you do not use a processing center, sign an Internet acquiring agreement with a bank:
1) A request is sent to the bank's gate, a response comes with a code
2) The crappier the bank, the faster you can withdraw your money for a number of reasons.
Money can be transferred from the account to any bank-24 in 2 days. Raiffeisen - about a week.
3) If you return, then they are debited from you immediately, the client arrives in weeks 2. If the client requires a refund, then the fun begins, if the money is still in your hold, then they are silently stolen, if not in hold, then they are trying to get them withdraw. If your clients begin to return money too often, they terminate the acquiring agreement with you.
4) Through the bank directly, only for withdrawal, sometimes scanty. Through the processing center 0.5 - 2% as far as I remember.

In fact, everything is much simpler. There is no need to contact banks. You just need to choose a processing center with which you can accept card payments. Take a closer look at PayOnline and Robokassa .
