How are apps tested in the AppStore?

Does anyone know how moderators test applications before putting them in the AppStore app store? On a real device or simulator. I ask this question because I have assembled the application, it functions well on a real device, but does not want to in the simulator. So I'm worried that my application will be rejected.

Apple, as far as I know, has the strictest and longest check, so if you yourself know about the problem, it's better to fix it

I saw whole plugins under crordova in the description of which it is said that they do not work on the simulator. Yes, it seems that pushes on the simulator may not work. So I think they still have real devices, although I don’t know for sure.
