BetterTouchTool is the best and free. How everything is configured in Windows.
In general, keymap in macos is generally hell. For example, in FF (and partly safari for adepts), moving through tabs is done through ctrl + ← / →, and closing / opening a tab, moving by tab number through mac.
In general, there is a lot of shit in makosi, which is hidden by the phrases “it just works.” The installation of software is clumsy, all sorts of package managers that certainly complement each other, and then they cannot beat the software, this is the smearing of files from installation into different directories such as var, usr, usr / lib, etc. The only joy is the built-in terminal. Very comfortably.
Therefore, for myself, I set parallels with Windows in fullscreen and I feel great!

moving by words: ctrl + left / right - alt + ← / →
selection by whole words: ctrl + shift + left / right - alt + shift + ← / →
about windows is more problematic.

@aylo

it seems to me that the wishlist can be implemented only with additional software:
position the window at 50% of the screen width: Cinch
size the window to full screen / minimize right zoom

Maximize a window to full screen: Shift+click on the plus sign in the window title

A small offtopic, may come in handy. To study hotkeys on a poppy, I recommend the program: CheatSheet
