home camera with ethernet

Comrades, you need to organize video surveillance at home (there will be a babysitter).
Wi-fi cameras are swept away immediately (there is a source of interference).
I would like to buy ethernet cameras from the Chinese in order to place them around the apartment and write them all to one dedicated server.

Maybe someone was wondering about the search for similar and something will tell?

Taking into account the price-quality ratio of digital cameras, I advise you to think in the direction of analog solutions (even, perhaps, wireless ones - they are not so critical to interference) + a recorder box.
In principle, depending on the length of the corridor and the shape of the rooms, 5-6 fisheye cameras will suffice.
IP cameras are not widely used due to their cost, comparable quality and complexity of maintenance. It's easier to buy a capture board

I agree with FilimoniC
Good analog cameras can be bought for ~ 2000 rubles and a video recorder for ~ 8000 (enough for a home) You
can order cheaper from China, of course.
As a cheap option - inexpensive USB Web-cameras (with good quality they will cost 500-700 rubles or 800 with a little better) and a simple computer with the necessary software somewhere in the closet. But you will have to suffer with the wires. You can buy usb plugs for soldering and do everything according to the whistle, for example. If the apartment is small - it will pull.
As for the software, ZoneMinder and Motion are fine.
Well, do not forget about the secondary market, if you want to save money.

By the way, I will add that it makes sense to use IP cameras when you

  • Do you want high resolution (analog gives up to ~ 704 * 576, it seems, which is usually enough)
  • Want ultra-high security
  • You don’t have the ability to “pull” the coax at all, but you already have Ethernet
  • Home one camera that watches the "cat" (since 99% of SoHo IP cameras have a web server to view)
  • You really need the "digital brains" of the camera to adjust the output image due to the frequent changes in the characteristics of the observed object (in brightness, for example)
  • you have too much money

IP cameras cost 5 times more, at least; at the same time, they have "children's" problems in the form of overheating, freezing, freezing and the complete absence of a picture in case of communication problems, demands on the quality of power supply (Analogue has the same problems, but "overheating" and "freezing" are less critical and the temperature range much wider, the picture in case of communication problems “pulls, ripples”, but you can still see, the quality of power is not so critical, there is practically nothing to hang there).

D-Link 2102, for example, at the last office worked fine in all our branches.

Now, by the way, I will raise video surveillance for the client on Ivideon =)
Do not take it for advertising, the basic functions are free and the system is more than suitable for home use.
This I mean that, having resolved the issue with the choice of cameras, you still have to resolve the issue with recording, managing and viewing.

IP Wifi as a measure: www.pandawill.com/new-mjpeg-series-pt-indoor-ip-camera-5.html
Made video surveillance on these, some on cable, some on wifi.
Not expensive, versatile.
They work flawlessly.
