home audio system

Habravchane, I hope only for you, I don’t know where to ask such questions anymore.

There is a TV, 2 XBoxes, ps3 and an old home theater (5.1). All of this needs to be brought together.

On the TV (samsung LE-40C530F1W LCD) there are only two sound outputs: optical and headphone. I think for headphones you can immediately weed out the option. :)

With home theater the problem is that there is no optical input. Only scart and component (5 inputs which). It will be expensive to buy a new home theater.

I thought about the option with a converter from composite to optical. But couldn't find it. There was only some kind, but there will be a two-channel sound. :(

How to be? All game consoles are connected via hdmi. I'm going to use the home theater only for sound, I definitely won't watch dvd through it.

Maybe a little and the question does not correspond to the topic of habr, but only here I can ask for help.

Guys, I decided to take a new home theater. It will cost about 10k rubles to buy a receiver, when a new simple recreation center costs 7-8k to take.
Yes, and in musical matters, I'm not very savvy, obviously a bad receiver would take.

Maybe put a receiver with a bunch of inputs? ( )

Considering that only digital comes out of your TV, and the cinema only understands analog, you essentially need a DAC + a multi-channel signal decoder. It certainly won't be cheap. Therefore, it will be easiest to really buy a new, simple cinema.

Can I know the model of the home theater (5.1)?

Everything is even more complicated ... judging by the info from the Samsung website, you do NOT have an analog audio output from the TV. Only by optics that your center does not accept. And there is no headphone output from the TV. And the center accepts only analogue. Accordingly, from the set-top boxes through the center, you can only start up an analogue - stereo. And then, each one must be connected to Panasanik directly. because TV does not produce an analogue, as I wrote above.

“I thought about the option with a converter from composite to optical” ... do you mean from coaxial to optical? Does the center have a coaxial (digital) audio input? As I understand it, Panasonic only has analog inputs for sound. A multi-channel sound only when playing from DVD.

It was not possible to quickly google the parameters of your cinema, but the advice here is unequivocal. Take the receiver, connect the satellites as passive acoustics to it (you need to pair it with resistance), tie the sub + amplifier box as an active sub from the receiver preout. Try to use the player from the cinema as a signal source, transfer everything to the receiver, and from it to the acoustics and, possibly, with video upscaling to the TV set. Look at Pioneer or Sony receivers, they offer good low-end (inexpensive) devices.
