Highlight files and folders in explorer?

How can I make file highlighting in explorer be by the length of each file and not by the length of the longest filename?
How to adjust the length of the selection bar for files in a folder in Win10 so that it covers only the file name itself and nothing more, would it be no longer than this very name? Display type - list.

No way. The selection within a folder is taken from the longest content name in that folder.

Are you sure this is even possible?

Switch the view mode to - small icons
the list will become clumsy (small names will be on the right of the second or third ... column)
ps universal answer to the question of how to use files more conveniently on windows - put far / total commander
