Help me choose a NAS that can be used to its fullest
I’ve been thinking about buying for a long time, I want to throw off backup files on it, but also use other possibilities. In particular, two sites to place, one simple, the second just doing.
I looked closely at synology - they have a good interface and all that - DS211j - I thought this model, but the RAM in it is 128 megabytes in total and is not expandable = (the DS211 model is already more expensive than a thousand by 4p at least and is not yet visible in Novosib ... but it’s not very big there either - 256 MB - I think that the web server will somehow be quite weak.
Netgear has RND2000-100RUS - it seems not bad, but there are not many possibilities out of the box. The same web server realized that it is unfolding in the same way as on any other server, consider , the memory seems to be increased if anything ...
In general, maybe someone came across a similar issue and made a choice for themselves.
I don’t want to assemble it myself, because it will take a lot of time, both for selection and for setting up, and the size is unlikely to be small.

Here is some comparison of different NAS's: www.xakep.ru/post/54681/default.asp
Look at Qnap www.qnap.com
My model is really not quite new (109 Pro) - but I'm very pleased. No fan - quiet. Pulls torrents, backups, webserver - everything is there. plugins are installed - from Joomla to phpMyAdmin and Python. It is better to read on the site - everything is described in detail there.
My IMHO has two minuses (for my model) there is only one screw (but I deliberately took it so that it would be without a cooler and as a victim of a raid), and their price will be higher than that of others (approximately like synology)
I don’t know, of course, what power you need - I didn’t observe any plugs on mine. Decide youself.
