Hello!
I need to connect regular headphones with a microphone (2 3-pin jacks) to a Mac Mini with a 4-pin 3.5 headphone jack.
The iPhone headphones with a microphone work well, because the port allows you to connect all this.
Can you please tell me where can I find a diagram of such an adapter? Will it be necessary to solder additional amplifier? Thank you!

It's simple: 3 signals + 1 ground = 4 pins on the jack.
Buttons and other details can be excluded from the scheme.

Doesn't the macmini have a separate microphone port? I have an imac 2011, I connected my headphones with two separate jacks - everything worked with a bang. Or am I confusing something and the built-in microphone was used ...

Why not use a usb sound card? On this pado ? for 20-30 you get a very good solution.
