Hdd Seagate is not clear dead or not?
The seagate momentus thin 2.5` 320gb hard drive that came with the thinkpad laptop stopped working one day. When the laptop was turned on, clicks and clatter were heard, the disk could not start, it was taken out of the laptop and connected to another computer, it was not detected and was not seen by the system. The next day, the disk suddenly came to life and I ran tests.
Having the results, I called support lenovo, described the problem and the test results, sent a new disk.
Please explain, judging by the tests, only in hdd scan there is a problem, although the disk is working. CrystalDiskMark shows that the dist feels great. How can this be?

try to look at other Hard Disk Sentinel smart programs, and mhdd run a disk surface test
Well, while there are no surface tests, nothing can be said for sure. From smart you can see only 196 attribute 30 attempts to reassign bad sectors.
If the screw is out of warranty, then you can unscrew the board and look at the contacts, and clean them if they are dark. Perhaps the problem is because of them.
"Clicking" and does not start - this is not good, and if it is under warranty, then it needs to be changed.
The reason could range from impact and mechanical damage to the mechanics to a malfunction in the controller. Well, as MgmZog wrote corny in poor board contact.
As Dmitry and MgmZog said - there are a thousand reasons. Any of them is true, and combinations are possible. Determining the reason for the inoperability of a disk is akin to fortune-telling on coffee grounds. So, either in a guarantee, or in another service. Although, of course, you can try to do everything yourself, but in any case - I warned: 99.(9)% of the world will find another broken HDD.
My personal opinion - throw out Seagate fuck. They have always been far from the best in quality, and now, apparently due to the past tsunami, and the generally unstable situation on the market, they have slipped into a dull shit. My personal experience is their top hard drivechanged three times. Now either Hitachi or Western. You shouldn’t even pay attention to the rest (if it’s not an SSD or a hybrid, ofk, we don’t know here).
