HDD problem. What is causing the big response delay?
Hello. Help me figure it out, the OS (Win7 x32) is very rarely loaded on a laptop, about 1 out of 10-15 times. When it loads, it doesn’t freeze, but the Windows icon in the middle is constantly flashing (like everyone who has Windows 7), but it doesn’t go any further (once it waited more than an hour, it didn’t turn on). I tested the hard drive with Victoria 4.46, and almost at the beginning of the test (as I understand it, then the program tested the beginning of the disk) showed one address in red (or a sector, I don’t really understand this). So I want to ask the experts, could this be the reason? If so, then tell me what to do, change it or can I somehow fix it? As a solution, I thought to try to "kill" all the disks and then create a new one but without this "red" area. If you think that this can solve the problem, then tell me the program, which will clearly show me that area so that I can create a disk before that place, and another disk after it, or at least after (if the delay is really at the beginning). I would be grateful for any answers and thoughts on this matter, thanks in advance to everyone.
