HDD 512 vs 4k and system migration?
I have Win7 on an old hard drive. I want a new one, but it has 4k sectors. The question is how to migrate to a new screw without getting a system brake? Acronis? Reinstallation? Anyone with real experience please share.

the previous speaker in the first sentence is mistaken =)
if there is a choice, I would strongly not recommend taking a 4k hard drive, because it is damp, slow and sad.
if there is no choice: transfer with any software (acronis, etc.) byte by byte, then use any tool (paragon etc) to align along sector boundaries, that's all.
blunt migration (byte-by-byte transfer of the disk image) most likely will not work, because the file system contains information about the sector size.
IMHO there will be a simple way to copy files.
you need to remember to fix the MBR, and make sure that the letter is assigned the same as the old one.
