Have you replaced your workbook with a tablet? If yes/no, why?

There was an obsession to replace the workbook with an A4 spring with a tablet computer.
I use a notebook at my workplace to record information that is needed online.
She is always at hand, just look at her and instantly switch to unfinished business.
Take a pen, sketch out a short to-do and mark the completion with it.
No software can handle this task so well.

But any search for this information is quite complicated, joint work is also not a fountain)

I use a notebook only for calculations, diagrams and sketches ... paper acts as a short-term memory, no search is needed for it. No program can compete with flexibility in such tasks.
Yes, and in a notebook you can always draw something in a free place =)

I ’m waiting for this thing noteslate.org/ , and I have a tablet more for entertainment and reading, writing on it by hand is not convenient, and not only by hand.

Replaced with ipad №1
And you can always leave notes, including raster ones. And my typing speed is adequate for a slightly chattering lecturer. My lectures were copied and mailed for beer.
Lectures later can be given to the lecturer for the machine, because. he will be able to form methodological material on their basis.

No, because the search for information in the tablet will be long - until you enter the program, until you open the desired page.
In addition, text written by hand is more understandable to the eye. Entering notes in a regular notebook is faster.
From experience, I tried to replace a small notebook with Evernote in iPhone - I refused almost immediately, because it was not convenient.

I recently used a notebook. Evernote is now always open on the second monitor. I make various notes necessary for solving the current problem in it.

Once I had a smartphone on a VM, with a resistive screen and a stylus, as expected. Despite the small screen and unhurried work, it completely replaced my notebook for short notes, sketches and other nonsense. I used the primitive program mental MultiPad for this.
Now I'm looking at SG Note and most likely I will switch to the second model. Of course, there is a difference in the speed of writing on paper and on the screen, if we talk about the first Note. It is impossible to write down large texts fluently, legibly. However, I am ready to adapt to this, since there are much more advantages than disadvantages. Synchronizing, transmitting and processing such information is many times more convenient than writing in a paper notebook.

Probably, this is a matter of the convenience of the application you use, and the habits of the owner of the tablet.
More than once I watched how, at various conferences and meetings, at first people make notes for themselves in tablets, but after a while the device became a substrate for a notebook.

I have a tablet connected to my home Windows 7 - Russian handwritten is recognized with a bang,
from notes - I either keep the notes gadget on the seven, or I write everything down in onenote, from where it goes to the cloud, to the phone and the second car

I did not find software that allows me to easily spread paragraphs across a sheet, insert sketches.
And yes, I dealt with the issue of a notebook, pumped up a bunch of software from Google. Pepe tried 7 or 10 pieces.

As a workbook, I bought a boogie board rip (such a thing like a marker board (that is, not restoring old states), but able to be saved in PDF) - 130 bucks + shipping. There was no paper on the table. I'm happy.

Samsung Galaxy Note.
I was looking for it to work like a computer (mail, any Internet), a Google calendar - for planning, and as a reader.
And I wanted a feature that sdevalex mentions “Yes, and in a notebook you can always draw something in a free space” - and now I’m very happy with this last chip, which was not in the bark in any tablet.
I began to write a list of going to the store with a stylus in this thing.
When talking on the phone, I take notes there.
When I'm in a transport and something hits my head, there is always a place to write it down by hand.
Sometimes just something to draw.
In general, it was the ability to write in free form, or rather its absence, that stopped me from switching to a tablet for a long time, and now I'm happy as a child. Indeed, now I can carry this Note in my pocket and it works. Down with all the notebooks! I don't need them anymore.

While using a notebook. I even write programs in it sometimes. I don’t know why, I just didn’t have time to look for a program that would allow me to write / draw, and erase what was written, and change the magnification in all directions, and copy / paste. And to be comfortable. In addition, the notebook is large (diagonal 18 inches when opened), and the resolution is about 100 dpi. The tablet would be small. Notebooks for 160 sheets are enough for a year and a half, it weighs less than a laptop.
I just can’t get myself to put dates in the corner of the page, so I have to look for old entries by context.
I read this topic - maybe I'll pick up an alternative.

No.
1. No handwriting (on most)
2. Weight
3. Battery

Perhaps you need something like a smart pen
There is also one for it.
I myself thought to take something like this, I took Samsung Notes, but I sold it, because I needed money. Didn't fully appreciate it.
So far, having a paper version is best for my tasks. Also in search)

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet, comes with a cool pen for the tablet, on board - a handy program for handwritten notes + recognition. Well, in the market there are a couple of good programs for this business.
Wacom also do a good job .

Although I'm trying to give up paper, I still can't give up 100%. I bought a beautiful notebook in leather the other day. It's a pleasure to work with him. :-)
The most important plus in the notepad is the speed of typing .

Got an iPad. Experimenting with various applications.
So far, MindMeister is the only working option. Mindmaps of current activities are drawn with a bang.
There are not enough quick actions to highlight the current task. Checkpoints that change the style of tasks when ticking. But these are trifles.
All the vaunted to-dos require too many actions to set up tasks and some kind of connections.
I want to try omniPlan, but somehow I don’t really want to go bankrupt blindly for $ 50.

I use a mini flip chart. Often at night I sit near the window and write down something.
Hand writing is faster, more convenient and clearer.
Plus, you can tear off the sheet and give it to the person for whom he wrote.

As a result, I took Galaxy Note 10.1. Several different programs in which you can draw and / or print, you just need to learn how to use them and choose the right one depending on the situation. And it also has photoshop, and it is also a phone. And probably a lot more.
