Has NFC grown out of RFID? That is a continuation of the development of RFID?
Or is it more correct to say?

NFC - communication is not electromagnetic, but "inductive", in the near field of the source (the field decreases ~ 1 / distance ^ 4). RFID - radio (~ 1/distance^2). In the near field, NFC devices may not emulate RFID.
NFC - devices "mutual" there is no difference between father / mother. Therefore, NFC is active, they cannot do without a battery.
NFC includes a channel protocol through which data can be transferred. RFID is just a digital label.
