Has anyone been able to get a tester job after taking popular courses like GB,Skill..,YA? How realistic is this?
Hello!
The question is probably a little circled, but after reading several articles on similar queries, I did not find answers.
Briefly about myself, I am 28 years old, I work as a manager. I've been studying Python for half a year, but purely for myself, I'm learning to make bots, I want to try to make parsers, it's like a hobby, I don't even count on real work.
Since sales are already stuck, I decided to monitor the market and came across vacancies for testers and autotesters. I don’t really have any acquaintances in it, so I started reading all sorts of forums, the only thing I understood from them was that it’s easier to enter the it market as a tester than as a programmer.
I started reading Savin in my spare time, learning simple queries in SQL and watching courses like GB, Skill... and YA. Like guaranteed employment here and there. BUT I'm a salesman myself and I understand that there are no guarantees.
Therefore, my question is specifically to people who have taken these courses, if there are any, "What do you think, is it worth going? Did you manage to find a job after them? How long did it take you approximately?" Or if there are experienced testers here who are recruiting "Do you really consider candidates after courses at the age of 28? Do people with any kind of knowledge come to you at all? Do you give a chance? Or do you merge?"
I will be very grateful for honest answers. I don’t want to waste time and money, if it’s all a complete hat, I’ll better continue to study Python and make some cool bot in a year and a half)) Joke ... Thank you all in advance !!!
