HA vSphere - how to bind certain dPort Groups to VM depending on the host?
Greetings!
Where can I configure (and is it possible) the rules for rebinding different Networks when starting a VM on different hosts?
For example, a VM has two NICs.
Host A : nic0 should be VMNetwork and nic1 = VMNetwork-vlan15
Host B : nic0 should be VMNetworkOther and nic1 = VMNetwork-vlan15-other
All within the same Distributed Switch. Now, if an accident occurs on host A, then the VM will restart on host B without changing its Networks. On host B, these settings do not work - Networks should be different.
That is, I want to create a rule:
"if VM so-and-so starts on host A, then nic0 = VMNetwork, nic1 = VMNetwork-vlan15
if VM so-and-so starts on host B, then nic0 = VMNetworkOther, nic1 = VMNetwork-vlan15- other"
In this case, the problem would be solved. The problem itself is related to the different physical connection of the hosts, which is why different uplinks are specified in different dPortgroups (forced).
