Gorilla glass

Hey Habr!
Available is HTC Mozart with a protective film and glass from Gorilla Glass. If I take it off, will something happen to the phone screen?
PS I began to notice that the film sometimes gives the effect of "delay".

Especially now I looked at my HTC Legend.
OMG, I have 5 scratches on my screen!
Are you always going to walk with this phone?
Mine is almost two years old, I got it from my wife. He fell and leatal, his fate was not easy. In general, I only carry it in my pocket, and only 5 scratches appeared on it, which are visible only upon closer inspection. When the screen is on, they can not be found at all.
IMHO, if you do not hammer nails with your phone and do not wear it as a keychain, then you can not worry about scratches at all.

The protective film protects more from fine sand, which is present in the pocket. The glass itself also copes with it, but still, after some time, microcracks and scratches will appear on it. Therefore, the film as an additional protection.
As a rule, minor defects (that is, those very scratches) do not affect the key functioning of the device, the screen will simply be scratched a little. For aesthetics, I usually leave the film.

How can film give a "Delay Effect"? It affects mobile software no more than a mouse pad affected a desktop computer!
Or did you call something else "Delay Effect"?

If you don’t carry anything in your pocket with your phone, then everything will be fine. Well, shake it out more often.

... I somehow got an old iPhone with a groove along the screen from sliding on asphalt, and nothing - I didn’t feel any problems in use and obvious discomfort.
On the case: Now I go with HTC Sensation, from August to November I went without a film - no scratches. He carried the phone in his pocket, without a case, only with an overlay on the back panel. Now with a film, simply because it was included with a new cover plate.
A couple of months ago, I dropped the phone with the edge of the glass on the metal ledge of the legs of an old sewing machine (those that are large, on cast-iron legs) - at the point of impact, the film peeled off the adhesive surface, the glass was intact. There is a small dent on the metal frame of the case.
Dad has been carrying the HD2 in his bag along with the keys for two years now - the screen is in fairly good condition, only minor scratches.
