How to set up internet on HTC Wildfire?

There is a HTC Wildfire phone, a Beeline operator, a tariff with Internet access. When I try to connect to the Internet, it says "Connection failed", the "H" icon or some other does not appear. I asked the operator for settings, sent an SMS stating that additional settings are not required. I found this instruction on the Internet: I go to the required item, a black screen appears with the APN header and nothing happens. Reloaded. What to do?

Press the menu hardware button and select the add item, and enter all these settings there, then press the back button
