Google images: where did the "switch to basic version" button go?

Previously, it was possible to switch the display of Google images to the "standard version". As far as I remember, when clicking on an image, it opened in a new page, when searching, they were all displayed in the same size (now they are larger and fit so as to pave the entire page), and so on.
Even earlier, this "standard" version was the default version, I think many people remember.
I can’t find this option now (I searched in chrome and mozilla on ubuntu, and on android), is it really completely abandoned?
