And who do you want to work? Programmer? Then the restoration of knowledge from the university will not help you. To work, you need completely different knowledge. Unless, of course, you studied at MIT.

Depends on what specialty you want to work in.
IT also needs account managers.
If you want to be a programmer, you first need to choose an industry. Closer to 30 programming, it is better to choose web (frontend (javascript, html) or backend (python, php, etc.)) or take 1C programming courses (not 1C Bitrix, namely 1C). Learn less than C++ and there are many vacancies.

And one does not cancel the other, but there is a feeling that having a live teacher can significantly speed up the process.

I once did this kind of bullshit at uni. As for me, a living teacher is a useless person for you in this matter. Learn to learn for yourself, this is an invaluable experience. Moreover, the Internet is teeming with thematic forums, a bunch of specifications for standards ... in general, everything you need for this business. (IMHO, the most useful skill is the ability to search for information.)
Take the most common book on your favorite development tool and start learning (remembering) the basics. Then, when you learn the tool, move on to trying to design complex systems ... Everything is gradual. Everyone did this)
Programming cannot be taught, it can only be learned.
