Web development. The question of profitability. Man Orchestra - or Narrow specialist?

I welcome everyone. Smart, experienced guys say - you need to learn * one thing: EITHER front-end OR server-side (in this matter, I will mean these niches, only front-end (without design), and server-side development). I completely agree. But, no matter how much I look at freelancing ads / job ads in the office, everywhere "HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery + PHP, MySQL, OOP, frameworks" ... And whatever one may say, the market dictates its own terms. What about freelancing? There generally only "Ensemble of 40 dogs and Gagarin" be? Is it profitable and promising to deal ONLY with the server side, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, OOP, frameworks, etc.? Thanks in advance.
_______
to learn * one thing (It is understood - thoroughly, professionally. Basic knowledge, it should be clear about all this)

I still don’t understand why you can’t be friends with a specialist from an additional field. For example, you are a programmer, and you are friends with a designer, who prevents you from looking for projects that require "Make a cool website with design and programming"? You can understand customers who do not want to bother looking for each specialist separately, and do not want to go to a studio where the price will be higher than that of such a pair of specialists.
On the other hand, such customers are not clear who are looking for a Designer to draw a website and immediately make it on the Internet, and even for 2000 rubles. It is not worth adjusting to such a category of people, but acquiring a couple of good specialists will always be beneficial.

Cost effective anyway.
But this is a different job.
On average, a man-orchestra is a simpler project.
Narrow specialists are more complicated projects.

From experience, I can say that customers really appreciate performers who can "do cool" from and to, without additional headaches, they pay for it accordingly well.
Those who are willing to keep an army of freelancers for every serverside framework and every frontend framework are in the minority.

The way "to choose one thing and study it in detail is easier." But it is also possible to be able to do many things at once.
It's my personal opinion.

If you are going to work in a company with a team of at least 10 people, then you need to be a professional in the field, you work in a team and create only part of the product.
Even in smaller teams, there is a division of roles, but it also happens that people work in related areas.
In freelancing, as a rule, the customer expects the finished product. Therefore, it is not surprising that a freelancer has so many requirements.

Both the frontend and the backend will bring in a lot of money in the coming years.

The formula doesn't exist. Specialists are needed everywhere. I recommend moving closer to the frameworks.
