GNS3 desktop does not see GNS3 vm, what could be the reason?

I installed gns3 desktop and gns3 vm, when gns3 desktop starts, gns3 vm starts, but the green indicator does not light, and gns3 desktop does not see gns3 vm, I sort of distributed ip addresses to virtual interfaces. I suspect that this may be due to the fact that I have an old version of gns3 desktop. (Virutalka and desktop versions are different). Tell me what could be the problem?
