GNS3. Cisco 3560 switch IOS connection?
Greetings fellow experts,
there was a need to work with cisco switches. I found the necessary ios on the open spaces of the network, for example: c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE3.bin
installed gns3, and there is a problem, ios routers are normally installed, started, but I can’t add a switch. Right
here . It is said that gns3 cannot emulate switches from catalysts. Only some simplified element offers, a pseudo switch that does not support: ... and a list of what it does not support, to be honest, it does not support almost anything.
From which the question is: did I understand correctly that in gns3 I will not be able to connect to the switch, does it work only with routers?
And if I'm right, please advise an emulator in which I can add the ios I'm interested in.
I'm not a master in networks, but I'm just learning.

It will not work to fill in ios-from the catalyst in gns. And there are no applications where you can fill it. This is due to the impossibility of emulating the hardware component of the switches. All you have left is Packet Tracert, Bosson NetSim. But then again, you won’t install a full-fledged IOS there.
Cisco IOU is here to help. There are images of virtual machines with a web face on the network. Everything works with a bang.
There is a list of unsupported features. http://www.routeroreflector.com/en/cisco/cisco-iou-web-interface/features-not-supported/
I can drop the link to the VM in private.
