gnome-desktop-environment won't install. What's wrong?

Hello.
In general, I bought another vps from one hoster and I'm trying to install XRDP on it, and for this I also need to install the gnome desktop environment, with which something incomprehensible happens to me. Moreover, only this one hoster has such garbage, all the others - norms.
What is the problem, I write in the console apt-get -y install gnome-desktop-environment
to which I reply

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 gnome-desktop-environment : Depends: gnome (>= 1:3.4+7+deb7u1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I can’t understand what’s wrong at all. Can anyone tell me why this is happening, how and what it is?

root :
1. The most harmless thing is to first
make sure what exactly the error is:
2. You need to look at which package repositories are connected and whether they are available .
3. apt-get -f install && dpkg --configure -a
If it does not help, then it is better to disable all non-native repositories and try from point 2. Pre-back up files in /etc/apt.
