GitHub in the web interface does not work from the clipboard to paste the code into the editor. How to insert code?

Can't deal with GitHub. I am newbie.
I don’t want to download the client for GitHub, I thought that I could paste the code into the web version and send it to a friend so that he would look at it and edit it. But in the web version, the code is not pasted from the clipboard. So intended? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Is it possible to somehow upload a file to GitHub or insert text code without installing additional. applications, only through the web interface?

@Leanna

This is not intended, everything is perfectly inserted from the clipboard (just checked). Try pasting the code elsewhere (to make sure it's copied). And in general, it is more correct to use a native program (which is installed on a computer).
Well, if you need to quickly reset a piece of code, you can use other services (for example pastebin.com )
