Gearman freezes when submitting a task?

There is a VDS on Debian 8 with php7 + nginx installed.
I installed German's PECL package according to this instruction https://blog.lysender.com/2016/06/install-gearman-...
Finds classes, workers are launched. But when the client sends a task to the worker, the script freezes when doBackground() is called.
With what it can be connected?
