Games freeze for a second on a powerful PC, what could be the problem?

I bought a new PC:
RAM: 8gb ddr4
Processor: ryzen 5 1600
Video card: MSI geforce gtx 1050 ti oc
In games, the picture freezes for a second, FPS does not drop, what could be the problem? There is a theory that this is due to the VGA -> hdmi converter

It is very likely that the HDD "falls asleep" due to inactivity (this is not related to the power settings in Windows, but to the features of the disk firmware, therefore it is not treated by standard methods).
I have 2 disks, system on SSD, data on HDD. Every time I open drive D (which is on the HDD) - friezes, like yours, for 1-3 seconds.
Treatment: install the free Crystal Disk info program, in it Menu "Tools" - "Advanced" - "AAM / APM Management" - set the slider to the "Quick" position

In which games. There is an assumption that the reason is the lack of RAM and / or video memory. The system seems to be on the hdd? Start monitoring MSI afterburner and task manager - look at what the system rests on there.

What games? In what resolution? At what graphics settings? What os? What is the system and games installed on? When do they hang?
And the computer is far from powerful, the maximum is slightly better than the office one.

Greetings!) The years have passed, but the problem remains, as I understand it)
2022, 10 days ago, I installed Windows 11 on the new M.2 and I started having the same problem, one to one, with all the games (only games, it seems) . Before that, there was 3 years of Windows 10, there was nothing like this on this assembly. Now I bought additional RAM and M.2, put 11win and it started.
If you find a solution to the problem, please share! Or who knows what's going on.
the game (any) works stably, everything is as before, but at a random moment the picture stops as if for a pause, the sound goes on, after a second everything is fine again. Annoying wildly.
System:
i7 8700
1060 6gb
32gb ram 2 sticks (it was 16gb 2 weeks ago, everything worked fine on 10 wins)
msi z370 gaming plus
By the way, after installing Windows 11, the processor began to strain more during idle by a few percent, compared to 10.

2022 the same problem and the solution was found, after I tried everything))) I bought the computer in October 2021, played everything I wanted and took a break, at 22 I decided to play again, and oh horror, in any game the picture gets a stake on 3- 4 seconds. After all the options for solving the problem, I decided to put the firewood that was at the time of buying the computer, that is, come to the point when everything worked, and lo and behold, firewood from Nvidia for September 2021 completely solved this problem
